We are pleased to invite you to the next series of the Peter Sagan Children's Tour cycling event. One of the many rounds of Slovakia will take place right here in Demänová Resort!

We compete on May 25, 2025 (Sunday)

You can register your child up to 14 years of age, born in 2009 and younger, for the race. Whether you have a barely two-year-old cyclist with a balance bike or an experienced cyclist - cycling is fun for all ages.

The easy cycling circuit is a combination of paved areas and natural paths right in the Resort, so you can cheer on the little cyclists right at the track.

Cyclo races for both the little ones and the big ones

Registration will take place via online login system, which we will publish a few weeks in advance. The organizer reserves the right to stop registration if there is a large number of interested parties. The competitor's companion also registers for the event.

Relax with us after the race

Combine a children's race with an experience-filled stay at our resort. Reward yourself and your little cyclists for their achievements and stay in our apartments or cottages. After relaxing in the wellness area after the race, a lot of fun awaits them in the Resort area!

Tour de France atmosphere

The length and difficulty of the course varies according to the categories and the competition rules of the Children's Tour. The competition will take place on paved or grassy roads in the area and the surrounding area. Don't worry, in the Baby category there is a safe paved road reserved for the little ones.

All participants can look forward to participation certificates signed by Peter Sagan, and the best in the categories will also receive Peter Sagan's cups and medals. During the competition, it goes without saying accompanying cultural program and refreshments.

Accommodation

Of course. We are a pet-friendly resort – you can bring a dog up to 20 kg, a cat or a rabbit with you. However, staying with a pet is intentionally limited to selected apartments so that we can also accommodate guests with allergies or other special needs.

Pets must therefore always be reported in advance - ideally when booking accommodation. You can find a list of apartments where accommodation with pets is possible here. in the list of selected apartments – here.

As stated in our price list, the fee is €20 per animal per night. Larger or heavier animals (over 20 kg) must be approved in advance by email with the resort. If approved, the fee is €40 per night.

Equipment of apartments and cottages

Each kitchenette has a kettle, microwave, induction hob, pots, pans, cutting board, grater, pots, ladles, spoons, knives. Also a set of plates and cutlery, a set of glasses, cups. Dishwashing liquid, dish towel, dish sponge. Also salt, sugar, black pepper. There is also a refrigerator in each apartment.
DeLuxe Cottages and Superior Loft and Deluxe Loft apartments are also equipped with a dishwasher.

Restaurants and catering

Of course, part of the center is Restaurant PINUS, which will delight the taste buds of adults and children alike. The second option is a bit more exotic – above the Pinus restaurant is the Indian restaurant SAFRAN. Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you come in winter, during a skiing holiday, you can comfortably enjoy your favorite bombardino, tea, or fast food in the restaurant. Snack bar right on the slope.

Wellness & massage

The wellness center at the resort works in such a way that for every two nights of your stay you get one free entry. So if you come for four nights, you will have two free entries per stay. If you stay with us for six nights, it will be three entries. Of course, you can visit the spa as many times as you want during your stay. After you have used up your free entries, the entry fee is as follows from the price list.
From the beginning of opening hours until 17:00 PM you can come to wellness with children. During this time, you can enter the common areas and the hot tub in a swimsuit. However, swimsuits are not allowed in the saunas, so please use them without a swimsuit.

After 5:00 p.m., our wellness area becomes an adults-only area, where all sauna customs are followed to ensure maximum relaxation. With the exception of entry with children (after 5:00 p.m.), a swimsuit-free zone applies throughout the wellness area.

Upon entering the wellness area, each guest receives a bed sheet and a large towel. Guests can rent bathrobes for a fee of €2,00.

Demänová Resort boasts a unique location in the heart of Liptov, which is rich in interesting places. You can visit several of them even in the rain, you can go to the Stanišovská Cave or to the indoor playgrounds, of which there are more in Liptovský Mikuláš. DEMÄNOVA RESORT
There is probably no universal comfort, but the Demänová Resort probably comes closest to it. However, it is not an ordinary hotel, but a hotel that exists in beautiful nature and is connected to it in a comfort that is passed on to every visitor. The hotel complex has one more exceptional parameter, it is a comfortable family hotel, or it is also referred to as a "family resort with hotel comfort".

The accommodation itself was in line with what was described online. The rooms and facilities met our expectations, and overall the place has potential.
The food was acceptable — not outstanding, but not bad either.

Unfortunately, the biggest issue during our stay was the staff and their communication, which was well below an acceptable standard.

Even the booking process was unnecessarily difficult. In several cases, I either did not receive any response to my emails, or the replies did not address my actual questions. Gabriela, who I was in contact with, was ultimately unable to assist me with booking a room and then disappeared from the correspondence entirely. Later, I spoke to a gentleman by phone who promised to send an offer, but it never arrived. Eventually, I was informed that all apartments were sold out — yet interestingly, online booking still showed availability, and I was able to book there without any issue.

Upon arrival, the lady who handled our check-in was smiling, but provided no useful information. Even after I mentioned that it was our first time at the hotel, she simply said that she had already explained everything to another family who arrived with us, which I found quite strange. When I specifically asked about the wellness area, I was misinformed: I was told that no reservation was needed, and despite knowing that we arrived with three children, she failed to mention that children are not allowed in the wellness area after 5 pm

When I tried to ask about this the next day and questioned why proper information was not provided upon arrival, the same staff member first tried to ignore me completely, then sarcastically refused to tell me her name, saying that I should have checked the name badge the day before if I wanted to know. Her name was Nicole. When I asked to speak to the manager due to this unacceptable behavior, she reacted defensively and confrontationally.

Dear Nicole, I would like to point out that this kind of attitude can easily result in the hotel losing guests.

I would also like to thank the manager, who handled the situation professionally and made an effort to resolve the issue.

Unfortunately, there is no information displayed anywhere, not even in Hungarian, and not even in English.

Overall, the hotel itself is not bad, but my stay was negatively affected by the behavior of some members of the staff. Perhaps I was simply unfortunate with the people I encountered.

On the positive side, the animators are very kind, and the ski instructors are professional and patient.

We spent Christmas at the resort. We stayed in the Loft Comfort Apartment, big enough for 6 people and one cat. The staff were amazing - at the Wellness reception, the ski rental, the lift, the restaurant, the buffet and at the reception. Pleasant environment and the 3-hour daily ski pass included in the price. Thank you again for the information and willingness to solve the problem after finding the document after our departure. Our whole family thanks again for a pleasant stay :)

I praise the entire resort, there is nothing to criticize, we like to come back here whether it is summer or winter, there is always a great program. And I also recommend the services of the Smile Center, where we last booked instructor Martin, who brought a smile to our Tomi's face and taught him how to ski🙂✌️🫶

Truly a resort on a level. It occupies a fairly large area. It even has its own ski lift in its area. They breed Alpacas here. Be careful, because if they are jealous or they don't like something, they will spit on you. It's like a small village here. Accommodation facilities are mostly made of wood. That is, a natural material. It is the only resort with such a large and well-equipped area in the surrounding area. It rightfully belongs to the name resort. I give the rating as a Google Maps guide for rating level 7 entities with a large number of followers and popularity. However, I would criticize that if you come for breakfast even e.g. 3 minutes later, you will not get anything and it will be followed by: "We don't have anything anymore." Of course they do.

Great family-oriented place. The atmosphere is very friendly with a lot of services. The design of buildings is very nature-oriented, although very modern. Nice view of Tatra mountains. Gladly will come again.

I was accommodated from 26.11. To 28.11. Overall a very nice place. Nice accessibility. The apartment was standard, nice clean and heated. Overall there were fewer people there which suits me. The Pinus restaurant is very nice. The food was also very good :) Wellness comfort. At that time after 18:00 there were about six of us there in a row and the next day as well. So no crowds. Cozy and quite nice. The service in the wellness is very pleasant. The hot tubs are located outside in the air so it's quite fun in winter. I didn't mind.
The atmosphere is good.

We stayed from 21-23.11, the rooms are clean, breakfast and dinner are buffet style. You can choose from a variety of dishes and they taste great. Lunch was also great. The reception and communication with her was great. The wellness is a little smaller but great for an hour. I was very satisfied.
