1. Janska Valley

• Area: Low Tatras
• Difficulty: very easy route
• Route length (estimated time): 7 kilometers (3 hours)
• Distance of the starting point from Demänová Resort: 13 kilometers

A new, slightly ascending asphalt road through the Liptov nature to the mysterious cave. The cycle route starts at the Thermal Raj swimming pool in Liptovský Ján and ends at the mountain hut in Jánská dolina. If you want to avoid the first section, which leads along a road with increased traffic, you can park at Stanišovská Cave, from where the route continues along a path along the river. You can look forward to views of the ridges of the Low Tatras and a murmuring stream that will accompany you throughout the journey.

2. Cyclo-turtle

• Route length (estimated time): 53 kilometers (1 hour 30 minutes)

The Low Tatras can offer pleasant cycling routes for families with children - the Korytnica cycle route is proof of this. The route starts in Ružomberok and follows the old narrow-gauge railway to the Korytnica spa. The route will take visitors through the nooks and crannies of the Revúcka Valley, and they will learn more about the history and importance of the railway thanks to information panels. The route stretches along the border of the Low Tatras and Veľká Fatra national parks and, thanks to its simple terrain and low gradient, is perfect for even the smallest cyclists.

3. The Žiarska cottage

• Route length (estimated time): 5,2 kilometers (1 hour 45 minutes)

Have you visited the only alpine hut in the Western Tatras? If not, it's time to change that. Žiarska chata is located in the central part of Žiarska valley and can be reached not only by a walking trail through the forest, but also by an asphalt cycle path. The trip can be especially varied for children by visiting a cave called Medvedia štôlňa. You can park your car at the starting point - at the mouth of Žiarska valley.

4. Rackova Valley

• Area: Western Tatras
• Difficulty: easy route
• Route length (estimated time): 8 kilometers (2 hours 30 minutes)
• Distance of the starting point from Demänová Resort: 21 kilometers

The easy route starts at the parking lot at the Liptov Village Museum in Pribylina and leads to Račkova Valley and back. Thanks to the asphalt road, it is also suitable for road bikes. With a slight climb, it will take you to the Hotel Orešnica, where you can have some refreshments. 

5. Čutkov Valley

• Area: Low Tatras
• Difficulty: easy route
• Route length (estimated time): 8 kilometers (2 hours 30 minutes)
• Distance of the starting point from Demänová Resort: 30 kilometers

The easy route starts in Čremošná near Ružomberok at the children's park called The World of Giant Čutka. The asphalt cycle path with a gentle climb leads past a small lake, forest animal feeders and a children's playground, there are also drinking mountain springs and campsites ideal for barbecues. The path ends near the Pálenický waterfall, which you can walk to as a bonus.

6. Celtic expedition along Liptovská Mara

• Area: Choc Mountains
• Difficulty: easy route
• Route length (estimated time): 10,7 kilometers (2 hours)
• Distance of the starting point from Demänová Resort: 22 kilometers

The pleasant circular route begins and ends at the municipal office in the village of Vlachy. The asphalt road rises slightly and takes you through the village to the dam wall. Next to the port, you will reach a white church right by the water, where you can refresh yourself and enjoy the view of Liptovská Mara from a different perspective. Opposite the church is the Havránok Archaeological Museum, which is worth a visit and will introduce you to the history of the Celts. The route continues to the village of Bobrovník to the Tvarožná part, where it turns back. 

7. Fairytale Enduro in Hrabov

• Area: Large Fatra
• Difficulty: medium difficulty
• Route length (estimated time): 11,5 kilometers (1 hour)
• Distance of the starting point from Demänová Resort: 30 kilometers

From the parking lot in Hrabov, this route leads along an asphalt road to the Calvary and from there along a forest path with a slight climb to the Vlkolínske meadows. It continues along an asphalt and later meadow path past the mini ZOO, the green mark will take you to a beautiful natural descent. The moderately difficult circular route is perfect for mountain bikes and will offer you an unforgettable family adventure.

8. To the Čierny Váh reservoir

• Area: Low Tatras
• Difficulty: medium difficulty
• Route length (estimated time): 12,9 kilometers (4 hours)
• Distance of the starting point from Demänová Resort: 25 kilometers

This moderately difficult route starts in the village of Východná and ends at the Čierny Váh reservoir. It will take you past the amphitheater to the ponds, where you will reach a forest road under the railway. Past the perched areas, you will climb gently through the forest to an asphalt road and a reservoir. You will be rewarded with a panoramic view of Liptov, from the Choč Mountains to the West and High Tatras.

9. Cycle route through the Choč Mountains

• Area: Western Tatras
• Difficulty: heavy
• Route length (estimated time): 35,4 kilometers (3 hours)
• Distance of the starting point from Demänová Resort: 18 kilometers

The circuit, ideal especially for mountain bikes, starts in the village of Kvačany. Under the forests and across field roads, you will reach the mouth of the Prosiecká valley on an old asphalt path. After a slight climb, you will reach between Prosiek and Bukovina, where a view of the entire region awaits you. You will continue through Malatiná and Malé Borové to the Kvačianská valley to the Oblazy water mills, from where you will return to Kvačany over the stream.

10. Great circuit around Liptovská Mara

• Area: Low Tatras
• Difficulty: heavy
• Route length (estimated time): 71 kilometers (8 hours)
• Distance of the starting point from Demänová Resort: 5 kilometers

Liptovská Mara and views of the Tatras. The circular cycling route starts and ends at the bus station in Liptovský Mikuláš and leads through the foothills and villages around the largest Slovak reservoir. In addition to the distinctive Liptov villages with traditional churches, you can also look forward to vast meadows, views of the water surface and the peaks of the Low, High and West Tatras. The terrain is rugged, without long and demanding climbs, the route leads mainly along less frequented roads and field paths.
