Cycle route through Prosiecka Valley – on two wheels around nature

We must immediately point out that the Prosiecka dolina Valley is not directly accessible by bicycle as it passes through a narrow gorge with ladders, bridges and rocky terrain, which is inaccessible to cyclists. However, there is one cycling circuit, which leads through this valley and offers beautiful views and can be nicely combined with a visit to the neighboring Kvačianska Valley, which also has downhill cycling sections.

The total length of the route is approximately 25-30km and takes 2,5-4 hours. It is medium difficulty route, accompanied by forest roads, asphalt and a slight climb. If you want to master this cycle route as best as possible, choose a mountain or trekking bike.

The best recommended route is if you start at Liptovská Mara, where you will be offered a beautiful view. Continue on the asphalt road towards Prosiek where you can take a short walk into the valley. Take forest and field roads to the village of Veľké Borové, where there is interesting traditional architecture. From Veľké Borové, you will descend to the Kvačianská valley, through Oblazy mills, where we recommend getting off the bike and walking a short distance. And again descending from Kvačany towards Liptovská Mara.
